Aguinaldo Silva
With a passion for literature, Aguinaldo Silva describes himself as a "compulsive reader." He believes that everything you hear or read has the potential to become a story. He transfers this passion to his soap operas but has cultivated the habit of observing and listening to the world around him since his teenage years. He worked as a journalist before co-writing "Anything Goes" (1988) with Gilberto Braga and writing the popular soap opera "Tieta" (1989).
Aguinaldo Silva's countless successes include A Indomada (The Untamed) (1997), Senhora do Destino (Lady of Destiny) (2004), and Laços de Sangue (Blood Ties) (2010), a production for Portugal’s SIC that won Best Telenovela at the 39th International Emmy Awards. His work continued with Fina Estampa (Looks & Essence) (2011) and Império (Empire) (2014), the latter also winning Best Telenovela at the 43rd International Emmy Awards, followed by O Sétimo Guardião (The Seventh Guardian, 2018), further consolidating his prominent career in Brazilian television drama.
In 2022, Aguinaldo Silva co-developed Três Graças (Three Graces) at the request of the production company Diosual, which presented the project to TV Globo, marking the writer’s return to the network in November 2024.
Premiering in October 2025, the show quickly became a ratings phenomenon. By episode 100, more than 132 million Brazilians had followed the story. It achieved the highest audience share since Renascer, with a national average of 22.1 rating points, double the combined performance of competing video platforms.
Among viewers aged 18 to 24, it reached 4 rating points, the strongest result in that demographic since “Renascer.” It also became the most talked-about telenovela in the network’s history, generating 6.2 million organic mentions, 32% more than the remake of Vale Tudo. The series accumulated 165 hours in Brazil’s Trending Topics and 92 million likes on X, firmly establishing itself as a major hit.
