Former Record director, Alexandre Avancini, is preparing a series about a banker who loses a son and needs to find a successor. Solange Castro Neves is responsible for the script, with collaboration from Thalma Bertozzi. It is an independent production by Diosual that will be licensed worldwide.
The series is an adaptation of the non-fiction book “De Quem é o dinheiro? Ganância, medo, azar e sorte: Vitórias e tropeços na Bolsa de Adley Piovesan e Homero Chemale”. (Whose money is it? Greed, fear, luck and bad luck: Victories and Stumbles in the Stocks) of Adley Piovesan and Homero Chemale.
Three seasons are planned, and the team is currently working on episodes for the first season.
The story is set in the present day with flashbacks from 30 years ago. It follows the Salvatore Abud family, whose billionaire patriarch, Ítalo, owns one of the largest brokerage firms in Brazil. After losing his son, he becomes the guardian of his grandchildren and intends for the boy to enter the business world. However, it is the granddaughter who shows a strong aptitude.
Throughout his career, Avancini directed several soap operas at TV Globo, where he worked for ten years. At Record TV, he was in charge of productions such as "Vidas em jogo" (Lives at Stake), "Os Dez Mandamentos" (The Ten Commandments), and "A Terra Prometida" (The Promised Land). In cinema, he directed "Os Dez Mandamentos: O filme" (The Ten Commandments: The Movie), "Nada a perder" (Nothing to Lose), and "Nada a perder 2" (Nothing to Lose 2).
